Rishi was among the 1,300 runners who took part in the Northallerton 10k.
The Richmond and Northallerton MP clocked a time of 47 minutes 20 seconds for the demanding course which started and finished in the town’s High Street.
The annual event raises money for the Pendragon Community Trust, a small, local charity focused on providing support to the lives of those with physical, mental and emotional difficulties and their families and carers. It runs a multi-sensory unit in Northallerton.
Rishi said: “I love being part of this wonderful and joyous community event. The camaraderie among the runners is just great and by taking part we are supporting this tremendous local charity.
“Pendragon’s centre is near my Northallerton office and having visited on a number of occasions I know what a real help it is for so many local families.”
Rishi said he wanted to thank the Kerfoot family and the many volunteers who organised and ran the event so successfully.
