Rishi Sunak opens James Winn estate agents Northallerton

An established name in the North Yorkshire property business has returned to Northallerton with Rishi's support.

James Winn Estate Agents celebrated the opening of their new branch in the High Street with the MP.

Following a chance meeting with a James Winn employee, Rishi offered to visit the new branch and help with the official opening.

He said: “It’s great to see an established name in our local property market return to Northallerton High Street. I wish the team well as the new venture opens its doors.”

James Winn Estate Agents was founded in Thirsk in 2005, with the then Northallerton branch opening in 2008.

The latter branch closed down during lockdown in spring 2020, with all operations moving to the Thirsk branch.

In December 2020 the James Winn Estate Agency was acquired by County Durham-based Castledene Group and as demand for properties have grown the decision was made to re-open once again in Northallerton.

It now occupies a prime location at number 231 on the High Street, which once housed a branch of the Yorkshire Building Society.

John Paul, CEO of The Castledene Group added: “We’re absolutely delighted to be bringing James Winn back to Northallerton High Street. Our customers value face to face customer service and whilst we offer a full virtual experience it’s a pleasure to have a physical space in such a wonderful town.

“We’re looking forward to working with local businesses and serving local people. I’d like to thank Rishi for taking the time to support local businesses on the High Street.”
