Blessed with a dry day and clear skies I was able to enjoy the splendour of the Dales.
I spoke to people in Keld, Reeth and Muker. I am looking forward to the Muker Show next year, a smaller Agricultural show in a splendid setting. At the Farmers Arms I spoke to a large shooting party and several gamekeepers about the contribution of shooting to the local rural economy. In Reeth it was market day so lots of people to speak and I also popped in at the post office and long-standing fruit stall.
