RISHI Sunak MP has teamed up with the Alzheimer’s Society to hold a coffee morning to raise awareness of dementia.

Mr Sunak and the local branch of the Society are to hold the event at Northallerton Town Hall on Thursday, July 28, between 10am and noon.

The MP said: “This is an information session to help raise awareness of the small everyday things that could make a difference to people living with dementia living in the community.”

The event is part of efforts, supported by Mr Sunak, to make Northallerton a Dementia Friendly community.

Dementia Friends is an initiative to help people understand what it might be like to live with dementia and then turn that understanding into action.

Those wishing to attend the 45-minute session which will be followed by tea and coffee should contact [email protected] or call07483925939
