I raised my campaign to have Wainwright's renowned Coast to Coast Walk made a National Trail in the Commons today.
I asked the Minister, Rory Stewart, if he would meet me to discuss the proposal to give this most beautiful route - which runs through the heart of my constituency and Mr Stewart's Penrith and the Borders seat - the status and funding it deserves.
He responded positively, suggesting that we hold our meeting while doing the walk! I'm getting my walking boots on...
