Rishi Sunak MP took to an exercise bike to help raise money for Sport Relief.

The Richmond MP was among the visitors to the Holiday Inn Scotch Corner who were invited to jump on the bike in the hotel’s reception to pedal their way to Paris.

The 581-mile cycling marathon was the idea of the hotel’s groups and reservations manager Leahona Aitchison.

She said: “We thought it would be a healthy way to raise some money for charity so we set up the bike in reception and over five days staff and hotel guests pedalled their way to Paris.

“Rishi was attending an event in the hotel and like a good sport did his bit for the cause,” she added.

Ms Aitchison said the hotel was very grateful to all who had contributed. The cycle marathon raised more than £200
