Rishi criss-crossed the Richmond and Northallerton constituency attending weekend community events.
On Saturday, he called at Scruton Fest, near Northallerton, to mingle with villagers at the afternoon’s fete and those arriving for the evening’s music line-up.
Later he attended the Summer Solstice Pub Night at Potto Village Hall, near Stokesley, to meet the organisers of the regular gatherings in the hall and adjacent car park before moving on to Richmond Conservative Club to have a drink with club regulars.
On Sunday, he marshalled at Northallerton Junior Park Run, starting the two kilometre race and welcoming the young runners home, and then visited the Homegrown Food Festival in Northallerton.
In Leyburn, he watched many of the young musicians performing at the family fun day staged at Thornborough Hall as part of the Wensleydale Community Arts Festival.
