Parliamentary candidate Rishi Sunak took a break from the campaign trail to talk to a group of Brownies about the importance of the democratic process.

Mr Sunak attended 2nd Brompton Brownies weekly meeting to talk to them about the election, how democracy and Parliament worked and the importance of people using their vote.

He fielded lots of questions from the Brownies about how he became an MP, what were the best bits and most difficult aspects of the job and what it was like to meet the Queen.

Mr Sunak, who is the Conservative candidate in the Richmond constituency, said: “Brompton Brownies asked me some really interesting questions about serving as an MP and also some policy matters. I was very impressed.”

After the questions, Mr Sunak took part in some games and singing before getting back out on the election trail.

2nd Brompton Brownies Brown Owl Rosa Hadjiska thanked Mr Sunak on behalf of the group for sparing the time to come to talk to them.
