Rishi Sunak officially opened Shutterbloom Photography's new studio in Catterick Garrison, marking the latest expansion of the family-run business.
The Richmond and Northallerton MP cut the ribbon at the new Battalion Court premises, joined by local businesses, military representatives and members of the community.
Mr Sunak was welcomed by Ian Sixsmith, who gave him a tour of the new studio and explained the range of photography services it will offer.
Shutterbloom Photography is the latest venture from the family behind Victoria Prints, offering photography experiences for families, individuals and businesses.
The opening marks another milestone for Victoria Prints, which was established by Ian and his stepfather, Graham Prince MBE, in 2005.
Starting from the family kitchen before moving to a market stall in Catterick, the business has grown to provide specialist framing, military presentations and medal framing.
Mr Sunak previously visited Victoria Prints in February and heard about the families' plan to expand.
His return visit provided an opportunity to see those plans become a reality and officially open the new photography studio.
Rishi Sunak MP:
"It was a real pleasure to officially open Shutterbloom Photography's new studio.
"When I visited Ian and his family earlier this year, they told me about their exciting plans for the future, so it was fantastic to come back and see those plans become a reality.
"I want to congratulate Ian, Lynne and everyone involved on this latest milestone and wish them every success with Shutterbloom."
Ian Sixsmith and Lynne Carter, of Victoria Prints and Shutterbloom Photography, said:
"Opening Shutterbloom Photography marks an exciting new chapter for us at Victoria Prints Limited, following 21 years of building our family business".
"Having Rishi Sunak join us on Saturday to officially open the studio made the occasion even more special, and we’re extremely grateful that he took the time to support us".
As a family-run business, we’re proud of our roots in the area and committed to investing locally, creating employment opportunities and continuing to grow alongside our community.
"We’re incredibly excited about what the future holds for Shutterbloom Photography and look forward to welcoming customers through our doors for many years to come."
