RS at Great Ayton Fete

Rishi officially opened Great Ayton's bi-annual Summer Fete, joining hundreds of residents for one of the village's most popular community events.

Held on the High Green and organised by Great Ayton Parish Council, the Fete brought together local organisations, charities, businesses, performers and community groups for a day of entertainment, activities and fundraising.

After formally opening the fete, the Richmond and Northallerton MP toured the event, meeting residents, speaking to volunteers and stallholders representing the local organisations and community groups taking part.

The event was organised by Great Ayton Parish Council and Parish Clerk Angela Livingstone, with the support of councillors and volunteers whose efforts helped deliver another successful day for the village.

Following the event, Rishi said: "It was a pleasure to join residents in Great Ayton and officially open this year's Summer Fete. The event was a fantastic showcase of the community spirit that makes Great Ayton such a special place to live.

"From the volunteers, the stallholders, and the Parish Council, a huge amount of work goes into making an event like this possible and their efforts in organising such a successful day that brought the whole community together."

A spokesperson for Great Ayton Parish Council, said: "We wish to thank Rishi most sincerely for attending our Fete and for the time he was able to spend with us throughout the day.

"It was clear from the response he received while with us just how much his presence was appreciated. We are grateful for the support he has given not only to this event, but to the community in many other ways as well."
