Rishi was among the thousands of visitors to Wensleydale Show.
He visited the trade stands, livestock lines, produce tent and the main ring where he presented the Henry Sellars Carriage Driving Shield for best exercise cart class to GB international driver Robert Buck of Harrogate.
In the sheep lines, he watched the judging of the Wensleydale classes and later congratulated Ernie Sherwin of Nosterfield, near Bedale, on his multiple class successes.
He spent time listening to the Leyburn Band who entertained showgoers during the day and congratulated young band member Freddie Lundberg for his solo performance during the band’s rendition of Misty.
Rishi said: “The weather was perfect for a show day and the show committee pulled out all the stops out to stage another great event, showcasing the best of Yorkshire farming life.”
He also thanked show chair Eleanor Acaster-Law in what was her final year in the role.
