Rishi has highlighted the success of the Cosy Stove Café, a new business in Brompton on Swale.
Set within the John Wray Stoves building, but operating independently, the café is run by Chloe and Carl Lee and offers seating for around 40 customers.
Its menu features a range of freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, quiches, pies and café classics that have already earned strong local support.
Rishi met Chloe and Carl over lunch, hearing how their hospitality experience has helped the café make a confident start. Carl previously ran the Beeswing pub in East Cowton, and together the couple also operate Skinny Guys Pizza, their popular wood-fired pizza business.
After the visit, Rishi praised the couple’s hard work and ambition, saying: “Chloe and Carl deserve real credit for getting this venture off the ground so quickly.
“It’s great to see a new business gaining momentum and creating such a welcoming space for local people.”
Chloe and Carl said “We were so proud to welcome Rishi to our family-run café. Cosy Stove is built on home-cooked food and support for local suppliers, so it meant a lot to hear how much he appreciated the atmosphere and what we’re trying to create here.”
